Akshai Jayakumar Pillai

Hi y’all, I am Akshai. I am a graduate student in the Applied Physics department, where my research focuses on Cavity Optomechanics. I am from Kerala, India, and I spent most of my pre-Yale life in and around there. I usually spent my weekends biking around New Haven, watching movies, or trying to source lunch and dinner from friends who are better cooks than me.  I enjoy conversations about most things under the sun, and even above it. (How do you even decide up and down in space?) I am fluent in English and Malayalam and I believe I can understand conversations in Tamil and Hindi, in case you ever wanted to talk.
